The National Monument is a sculpture that commemorates those who died in Malaysia's struggle for freedom, principally against the Japanese occupation during World War II and the Malayan Emergency, which lasted from 1948 until 1960. It is located in the Federal capital, Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysian Houses of Parliament is situated near the monument.

It is the world's tallest bronze freestanding sculpture grouping.Every year on 31 July on Warriors' Day, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the Prime Minister and heads of military and the police pay their respects to the fallen heroes by laying garlands at the monument.

The Bank Negara Money Museum in Kuala Lumpur had cooperated in the year 1969 with Sukom Ninety Eight Berhad to commemorate the Kuala Lumpur ’98 XVI Commonwealth Games. It was the first polymer banknote to be issued in the country. Since 1979, it had been sporadically purchasing coins to set up its own Money Museum. As the Bank receives plenty of visitors each year, including school children and VIPs, the Bank Negara was obliged to display its collection as also preserve the national heritage by having a public museum that would show the evolution of the currency in the country from early to modern times.

Jame Mosque Kuala Lumpur was built on the first Malay burial ground. Mosque Foundation Stone was laid by HRH the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Salahuddin Shah Sulaiman CMJ on 23 March 1909. Its construction took about nine months for $ 32,615.00 while the Government has contributed $ 20,000 and the remainder derived from the contributions of the congregation. Architect in charge is Mr. A.B. Hubbock of the Department of Public Works has also provided design Kuala Lumpur Railway Station yyang inspired from North India.
